The #GreenonKnights Marching Band spent spring break in Orlando Florida. They marched in the Universal Studios and Magic Kingdom parades. Park guests from all over the world lined the streets to hear them play. They also got to enjoy rides, shows, and more at Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Epic Universe. Great job, Knights!

Our 3rd graders wrapped up finishing Because of Winn-Dixie in the best way!
Our #GreenonKnights students reflected on lessons learned by creating their own “Mistake Trees,” inspired by the story’s message about learning and growing. They also enjoyed a party just like the characters, with all the same foods, and even watched the movie adaptation together!

Avery Thorpe was selected to represent the #GreenonKnights at the Exchange Club Youth of the Year Awards!
She competed against representatives from all Clark County schools and was chosen as 2nd runner up. She was recognized at their banquet and received a $500 scholarship.

Before spring break, we crowned our Greenon’s Got Talent champion… SNOOG! 🎤🏆
We are so proud of all of our #GreenonKnights performers for putting on an awesome show for our school community!

Our Fresh Cuts for Kids event was a huge success! With the help of 7 stylists, from 4 salons, we were able to give over 80 haircuts to our students in under 4 hours!
Our #GreenonKnights are heading into spring break looking sharp and fresh!
Thank you to the stylists and everyone who helped make this day possible—we couldn’t have done it without you!

Congratulations to #GreenonKnights Junior Jyn Beverly. Jyn participated in the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. The Governor’s show is a prestigious show that features artwork for Ohio high school students in 9th-12th grade.
Participants must go through multiple rounds of rigorous judging to make the final show. Jyn had two pieces, “Phases”, and “Let Time Pass” that qualified for the state level of the Governor’s Show.

On Friday, Timothy Everhart, a National Park Service archaeologist and museum curator located at Hopewell Culture NHP (Chillicothe, Ohio) came and spoke with our 2nd grade #GreenonKnights!
Our 2nd graders just finished a unit from our new Book Worms curriculum on American Indian people.
Experiences like this bring our classroom lessons to life, helping our students connect what they read in books to real people, places, and history! Thank you, Timothy!

Today we clapped out Mrs. Karen Amos on her final day with our transportation team! 👏🚌
After 32 incredible years, she is officially beginning her well-deserved retirement. Her commitment to our kids and families has made a lasting impact on our district, and she will be greatly missed.
Thank you, Ms. Karen, for 32 amazing years of service — once a Knight, always a Knight!

A Message from Joe and Brenda Hobbs for our #GreenonKnights
To the Greenon Local Schools and Community,
The Hobbs Family would like to thank the Greenon community for making another Liam Hobbs Memorial tournament such a success.
We would like to thank the Greenon Youth Wrestling program for helping make this a two day event with the addition of the youth tournament. So much work goes in to making this happen, and it’s not lost on us how many people went above and beyond. Thank you to Daniel Trainer, Chase Trainer, Evan Davis and Shawn Lemaster. The wrestling program is lucky to have you as coaches. Thank you to Paula Trainer, Tori Lemaster, and Emily Hakes, the unsung heroes doing so much behind the scenes. We see you, ladies.
Thanks to Brandon Hakes of B-Right 3d, LLC for providing the flip disks for the officials, and thank you to Cheer coaches Megan Jackson,Holly Beverly, Sarah Debolt and the Greenon High School Cheer squad for opening ceremonies. Things like this set a tournament apart.
Thank you to all of our Friends and family that volunteered for the hospitality room, 50/50 sales, and concessions. You all show up big for us.
Thank you to the high school wrestlers that stepped up and officiated the youth tournament. Reffing is a thankless job, and the youth tournament could not have happened without you, so thank you very much. You guys did a great job.
Thanks to Steve and Brooke Sexton for making shirts for the tournament. It’s awesome to see these shirts at other tournaments and out in the world.
Thank you Brandon Weems and Greg West. You will rarely attend a Greenon sporting event without one or both of these gentlemen there. You go above and beyond.
And lastly, thank you to all who donated and made it possible for us to give Four Liam Hobbs Courage Awards with a scholarship. This is an amazing way to honor our son's memory.
Our hearts are full.
GO KNIGHTS!!

Our #GreenonKnights Kindergarteners had an absolute blast participating in Global Play Day — building, creating, imagining, and most importantly… PLAYING! To make it even more special, our 6th graders came down to join the fun! Watching our older students connect with our youngest learners was a great reminder that play builds friendships at every age.
