Greenon Local Schools

Greenon High School is proud to announce Cooper Chaffin as the next head coach of our football program, pending approval at the April 23rd Board of Education meeting. 

Coach Chaffin is a 2018 Greenon graduate who understands what it means to be one of the Men of Greenon. After continuing his playing career at Marietta College, he returned home and has spent the past three years coaching football, basketball, and baseball at Greenon. In that time, he has built strong relationships with our students and has invested in our athletic programs and school community.

This is a meaningful day for Greenon. Coach Chaffin knows our school, our community, and the pride that comes with representing Greenon. His leadership, energy, and commitment to our student-athletes make him a strong fit to lead our football program.

As we move forward, our focus will remain on building young men of character, strengthening connections from youth through high school, and competing with discipline, toughness, and pride.

We are excited for what is ahead and look forward to supporting Coach Chaffin and our student-athletes as we begin this next chapter of Greenon football.
