The annual Career Day at Greenon Junior and Senior High was a success, offering students in grades 7-12 the chance to explore over 30 career paths and connect directly with professionals from a wide range of industries. From cosmetologists and electricians to speech pathologists and physical therapists, the event showcased the various career paths students can pursue after graduation.
In addition to the sessions with local professionals from our community, this year’s Career Day featured a brand-new opportunity: mock interviews. Students who signed up were able to practice real-world interview skills in a supportive environment, which helped them gain confidence and prepare for future job or college interviews. We look forward to expanding this component next year, with plans to involve community speakers in the interview process as well.
We are grateful to the Knights PTO for organizing a valuable networking session for our guest speakers following the conclusion of the student sessions. Their support helps make this event meaningful for both our students and the professionals who share their time and expertise.
Greenon’s annual Career Day remains an essential part of our mission to equip students with real-life experiences and connections that will lead to their future success. We can’t wait to build on this year’s momentum and offer even more opportunities for our students to explore the many paths available to them in the future.
