The Greenon FFA Chapter traveled to the 94th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, IN from October 27th-29th. During the trip, members experienced agricultural tours of the following companies;  MVP Dairy and Burtch Seed , both in Celina, Ohio and  FreshWater Farms in Urbana, Ohio. At MVP Dairy, students got to see a large scale dairy farm and a milking carousel. It was a great experience to see how a dairy farm of that size runs. All of the cows were silent showing they were very well taken care of and happy! At Burtch Seed, we saw the process of how they pick the best seeds and package them. While at FreshWater Farms,  we were able to feed the fish and learn more about the different types of fish.

In Indianapolis,  students watched the first session of the convention, where Fancy Lady Cowgirl was the keynote speaker.  Her main message was to be who you want to be and don’t lose yourself trying to be someone you’re not.  The first evening,  students  went to the Brett Young concert and it was great! The next day they went to the second session where President Kaylynn Wilhelm and Treasurer Macy Timmons went on stage to accept the National Chapter Award for being rated a three star chapter, the highest ranking a chapter can receive! Later that evening students went back to the hotel and had a game night!
