OHSAA Sports Physicals

The Greenon Athletic Department  will be providing the mandatory OHSAA Sports Physicals again this year.  The times and locations are:

Wednesday, May 16th at Indian Valley  from 4—6pm and Saturday, May 19th at Greenon High School from 10 am to noon.

The required paperwork will be passed out to students during the school day on Monday, May 1 both at IV and Greenon.  Those students from Indian Valley who are going on the Washington D.C. trip will receive paperwork in Mr. Whitt’s classes on Friday, May 11.

There are going to be more physicians present on Wednesday at IV so we encourage as many as possible to plan to attend that day.  The students from IV returning from the Washington D.C. trip will need to come to the Saturday morning  time.

Please read and sign all paperwork in advance—any parent not receiving paperwork can call the Athletic Office at Greenon —-340-6365.  Paperwork will also be available in the IV Main Office and in the Greenon Athletic Office.  There are NEW forms this year so make sure you have the new paperwork if you downloaded off the website.

The cost is $15  and checks should be made out to the Greenon Athletic Department.

Community Forum

On Thursday, May 17th at 7:00pm (changed from 6:00pm), Greenon Local Schools will host a Community Forum here at Indian Valley to discuss topics such as the state of Greenon Local buildings, school finances, the future needs of our students and many other important topics. Everyone in the community is invited. If you are interested in attending, please email Mr. Tighe at mtighe@greenon.k12.oh.us. Please scroll down to access more information. We hope to see you there!

Attention Parents

Due a large number of students who have outstanding balances on their lunchroom accounts, a change is being put into affect regarding students and their abilty to charge school lunches. Effective Monday, March 19th, students will only be able to charge the equivalent of 2 lunches. If they go over that amount they will be offered a cheese sandwich and milk as it states in the handbook. If you have questions regarding this change, please contact Indian Valley at 864-7348 or 864-6015, or Mrs. Young (our Food Service Supervisor) at 640-6372.

We have three young ladies in the 6th grade that have expressed the desire to begin collecting hats for children that have cancer and have lost their hair due to chemotherapy. Throughout the building, we have several boxes that students can bring in new or slightly used hats that will be collected by these three young ladies and given to charities, such as the Ronald McDonald House. They will then be distributed to children who are cancer patients. Please help us support these young ladies and their very worthwhile charity by donating a hat here at the school.
