Greenon Celebrates Groundbreaking of New K-12 School

More than 200 people joined Greenon Schools on Sept. 26 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Greenon K-12 School.More than 200 people joined Greenon Schools on Sept. 26 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Greenon K-12 School.

At the ceremony, members of the Board of Education, Superintendent Brad Silvus and Treasurer Brad McKee broke ground at the site behind the southeast corner of Indian Valley where a new K-12 school will be built. The new school is anticipated to open in January 2021. 

During the ceremony, Greenon Board President Dennis Henry, State Senator Kyle Koehler and Mayor of the Village of Enon Tim Howard spoke about the important occasion. The Greenon Marching Band, led by Mr. Jerrod Fry, performed the National Anthem, the Greenon Alma Mater and the Greenon Knights Fight Song, while local cub and boy scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance.
