Greenon Board Announces Architect SelectionSHP Leading Design will serve as the architect for the Greenon Local School District's K-12 facilities project, the Board of Education announced Thursday, Sept. 21.

"We are very pleased with the selection of SHP as the architects for this project," said board President Dennis Henry. "Through the pre-bond engagement process, SHP gained a familiarity with the values and priorities of our community. SHP has a proven track record of outstanding school facilities that will ensure that our new school facility will be a source of pride for the district and the community for decades to come."

SHP was selected by a team from Greenon Local Schools and the state's Ohio School Facilities Commission through a Request for Qualifications and interview process.

The Greenon community voted in May 2017 to invest in education with a $54 million facilities project through a funding partnership with the OSFC. A new K-12 school will be constructed on the current site of Indian Valley Intermediate School. The state will contribute about $18 million to the project; the local community will contribute $36 million.
