The Winter Dance for Junior High will be held Feb. 10 and the High School Winterfest will be Feb. 11. For anyone who couldn't attend the Jan. 26 scheduling meetings for the 2017-18 school year, we will hold a second round on Wednesday Feb. 1, in the cafeteria at Greenon Junior/Senior High School. 
The meeting for incoming 7th graders starts at 5:30 p.m.; incoming 8th graders will begin at 6 p.m. and incoming 9th graders start at 6:30 p.m. Greenon Junior/Senior High School will hold its annual Local Scholarship Meeting for seniors and juniors who are graduating early on Tuesday, Dec. 13 during activity period. Through College Credit Plus, students attending Greenon Junior/Senior High School can earn college credit before high school graduation.  Through College Credit Plus, students attending Greenon Junior/Senior High School can earn college credit before high school graduation.  The first ever County-Wide College Credit Plus Informational Meeting for Clark County will be held at 6:30 PM on December 6 at the Hollenbeck Bailey Conference Center. Students and parents who are interested in earning college credit while attending Greenon are required to attend. GHS Volleyball donated $2,700 to Dayton Children's Hospital, the proceeds of this year's Spikes for Tykes fundraiser game.
The team visited the hospital on Nov. 3 to present the donation to Lexi Kopilchack, Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals Manager at Dayton Children's. Money raised will go toward equipment and technology for the new patient tower set to open in 2017. The Greenon Local School District Board of Education is seeking further input from the community on the future of educational facilities in the district.
A second survey and forum are available to look at potential options to address the district's facility needs, after respondents to the first survey overwhelmingly indicated that facilities were a concern. http://www.greenon.k12.oh.us/News/survey Congratulations to the 2016 Greenon High School Homecoming Court! The Homecoming Queen will be crowned at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct, 14 at the Greenon Knights Football Game at Greenon Junior/Senior High School!  FFA members attended the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference at the Ohio Statehouse where they learned about the importance of legislation, lobbying and advocating for the Agriculture industry and for agricultural education.
